Mackinley's Dedication
We traveled over to Bluffton this morning for little Mackinley's dedication at Keri and Jason's church. Keri, Jason, Mackinley, and Kaeleigh all looked GREAT!! You won't be seeing any pictures of them here. :-(
All our children were there except Kelly. You won't be seeing any pictures of them here either. :-(
My mom and dad were there. You won't be seeing any pictures of them here either. :-(
Jason's mom, Lisa, was there, and oh how fun to see her. She brought Kaeleigh the most darling winter coat. You won't be seeing any pictures of her, or the coat here either. :-(
Keri, Jason, and Mackinley's special friend Haley came. You won't be seeing any pictures of her here either. :-(
My sister Pam, her husband Joe, their son Dustin and his new little wife Kayla all came. You won't be seeing pictures of them here either. :-(
We all went to Keri's for a scrumptious lunch. Keri's a FABULOUS cook. You won't be seeing any pictures of that here either. :-(
Someone forgot to take the camera. :-(

I will confess to being your visitor from Virginia. You bring much humor to my day. I found your blog through a couple of others...Joel and Kim Delp first, then found the Hummels and realized I know JoEllen's parents. Then found yours and check it frequently just to have a smile. I grew up in Indiana and reading your blog just makes me feel a little closer to home. Thanks!!
Oh Cindy, I'm SO GLAD you told me about yourself. I only just started my blog in June, and it has been so fun. I find it refreshes me after a long day.
AND - - - a BIG part of the fun is finding new friends like yourself.
Many of us are "glued" to the Hummel blog as they share all about their wonderful family with us all.
Please keep coming back to my blog - - - and leave more comments. ;-)
You don't happen to be "Big Fat Chicken" or "Piggley Wiggley" or "Cheeky Monkey" or "DDD" do you?????
Didn't think so, but it was worth a try. ;-)
I will have to say I did laugh at your blog Keetha even tho I can't see any pix. How many times did we hear Greg say...."oh, that's right we don't have a camera" before he finally got one and now a very important day is not recorded with pictures. WAH. BOO HOO. BUMMER. I'll bet Keri comes thru to save the day!!!
I don't know how any pictures of Macky could be any better than those halloween pictures!!! You didn't mention your dad and mother. I hope they are both well.
Disregard last comment. I re-read blog and saw you did mention your folks....sorry...but still not as sorry as I am cause someone forgot their camera....just kidding.
Sorry you missed your photo ops. Sounds like you had a wonderful time with your family, though.
I'm even worse - I take the camera and then forget to use it! Yesterday, I even packed spare batteries in my purse along with the camera!
So you won't be seeing any pictures of John at his marching band competition on my blog, either. :-(
Been there...we have NO pictures of Madelyn's dedication because we forgot to take them (I think we even took the camera that day).
My dad took the video camera and was able to capture the event on video. Of course, I was not watching the pastor but was watching Elisha do the army crawl on stage out of the far corner of my eye...pretty funny memory (though not so funny at the time.)
Oh boy can I relate to watching one of my children misbehaving in public. Grammy will say they NEVER misbehaved, but that's only a grandmother talking - - - - we moms KNOW better.
Greg brought the camera in from his boat (he had a nonproductive all day fishing trip yesterday) I made sure we had extra batteries in it, then I THOUGHT I put it in my purse - - - - but evidently not as it was sitting right on the kitchen island when we got home.
If Alice Mae would have been there...
OK Anonymous - - - - you just labeled yourself as a family member if you know all about Alice Mae!!!!!!! :-)
Nope, I'm not "Big Fat Chicken", "Piggley Wiggley", "Cheeky Monkey" or "DDD". BUT, I've been CALLED a big fat chicken and if I keep eating like I did this weekend, I'll LOOK like a piggly wiggly!
Cindy - - - - you are very funny yourself!!!We'll have a little mutual admiration society right here ;-)
I do find it fun, odd, strange, etc that you found my site through the Delps, whom I don't know and had no clue knew anything about me.
What a tangled internet web we weave - - - -
Mom, I think she's saying she found the Hummels through the Delps and found you through the Hummels....
Well, that explains where Kyle was...Nick and I were wondering why he wasn't at College Church on Sunday.
Yes, Kyle was in Bluffton with us. He said now he remembered why he drove to church separate from us - - - - he said we talk too long after church. :-)
You got it, Keri! Guess this old woman didn't explain it very well. While I don't know JoEllen, I do know her parents, Dave and Bonita. I worked with Bonita at World Gospel Mission a hundred years ago. I also have family that lives in Bluffton, so I've been checking Keri's blog also. Hope y'all don't mind me sticking my nose into your blogs!!
Keetha, I too, love your writing and sense of humor. I think you have a fan club now!
We don't mind at all, Cindy!! We love knowing that people enjoy our blogs...that's WHY we do what we do! =) I wonder if we know your family in Bluffton?
Keri, Their last name would be Harris. My sister lived there for 12 or 13 years, her last name was Furnish and then Beer. She passed away last year with cancer. Keetha, hope you don't mind Keri and I corresponding on your blog! :-)
Cindy - - - - you come to my blog any time you feel like it, and you may talk to Keri here all you want - - - - it makes my comment numbers go up!!!! Hehehehehe
Actually, our family all lived in Bluffton for 12 years. I knew some Beers and Harrises, and have heard the name Furnish.
Oh, and I know Bonita and Dave too!!
Small World!!
Jeany - - - - how fun to have a fan club!!! :-)
Jeany - - - - tonight I don't find you on my site meter as whateverthatotherplacewascalled - - - but there is a Smyrna - - - - could that be you?
Cindy -
Your brother-in-law does all my window tinting!! HAHA I say that like I have ALL THESE CARS that get tinted...but every single car I've ever owned (except my first one) has had his tinting on the windows!
I prayed for your family a lot through that hard time while your sister was so sick. Here's a HUG for you.
It is still amazing how small our wolrd is
Doug
Keetha, Do you remember any of the first names of the Harrises you knew? It certainly is a small world!
If you're going to have a fan club, it needs to be organized. You'll need officers...I'm interested in being the treasurer~feel free to send your money to me! ():-)
Keri, The prayers were felt and greatly appreciated during Cathy's illness. She was always amazed at how many people were praying for her! She fought a hard battle and is greatly missed, but she was truly an inspiration to me! AND, thanks for the HUG...it, too, is appreciated!!
Doug - - - - I guess it's now official, DDD is Cousin Dougy!!! Let me WELCOME you to our wacky world.
Cindy - - - - the Harris I knew was Sue. She was the middle school Home Ec. Teacher in Bluffton.
