A Letter to Eily
Little Eily says: "Did you hear? I was actually hatched from a huge egg!?"
Dear Eily,
you weren't exactly HATCHED from a HUGE egg. BUT, there definitely WAS an egg involved in your creation. It wasn't huge, nor did it have a shell, but it was an egg nonetheless and part of God's mysterious gift of life to you.
When you are a little older, ask your mommy about this, and if she WANTS to, she can bring you to "the old science teacher" who will give you ALL the details. wink wink.
Love, Auntie Keetha

YOU MADE A LINK!?!?! Did Kyle show you how?
You CAUGHT me. Actually, I've made a couple before this one - - - you must have missed those. (Look on goeduck for one)
Yep - - - Kyle WROTE down what I have to put, and I'm saving the note so I can do it when he isn't here.
Thanks for making me famous, Auntie Keetha!
-Eily :)
PS. Mommy says she is definitely sending me to you when I have "those" questions.
Eily, you tell mommy I'll be ready!! :-)
"the old science teacher", You mean the egg shell isn't real ??? I need to talk to mama!
Maybe I should send Rachel your way...it's time! We have that same little monkey "backpack" for Daniel - it's WONDERFUL (especially in an airport)!
HA! A few weeks ago, Katy watched Dirty Jobs with my mom and dad. It was an episode with a fish farm where they squeezed eggs and sperm into a bucket and mixed it all up for some magical happenings. Of course Katy was curious, so Dad told her what was going on in nearly the same terms I just used.
A week or so later, Katy and I were playing animals. I was making different faces or sounds, and she told me who I was. Then she did one where she was a fish. She told me, "I have eggs inside me."
"Yes, you do," I replied.
Thank goodness it didn't go any further. Let me know when Eily's coming in and I'll send Katy too.
Hmmmmm - - - I think I see my future!!! Educator to the offspring of my friends!!! :-)
I went over to little Miss Eily's site & see that she's Michelle's daughter. She is adorable ! Curious....how do you pronounce her name ?
Michelle and I used to teach together at Lakeview, but Michelle didn't return after having Eily.
Eily is pronounced Eye - Lee
Oh wait Jackie - - - I explained all that 'cause I thought you were my COUSIN Jackie. Silly me - - - you know Michelle!!!
Eily is a nickname for Eileen. Sometimes that helps people understand the pronounciation. Of course, the English teacher in me would like to award extra credit to anyone who can explain why the ei vowels make a long i sound. Most people would say they make the long e sound...not so, in this case! :)
The language teacher in me thinks it's probably of Germanic origin where the first vowel is the "walker" and the second is the "talker." :)
And the science teacher in me says letters don't walk OR talk!!!\
Hehehehehehehehehe
Oh how i wish you had been my science teacher!!! ;o( !!
LOL Papa - - - You might change your mind if you ever had to take one of my finals - - - at least my students tell me they're hard.
Cute as can be!
