I'm Drowning in a Sea of - - -
Techno-illiteracy. I just want to know how to do some simple things like change my picture file size so I'm not filling up my blogger space so rapidly.
When my techno-geek-bum-college-student son came by for a few days visit, I begged him for help.
He promptly began uploading, downloading, and overloading my computer with things that would help me in my quest for more knowledge.
I TRIED to follow his lingo - - - but it was all GEEK to me. I mean, I'm barely swimming around in a Kindergarten Pool of "Dick and Jane" and he threw me a Tolstoy "War and Peace" lifeline!!!!
When I cried out with tears of frustration - - - -
All he could do was hang his head at my total ignorance.
And I still am - - - - ignorant. :-(
But hey, Kyle, THANKS for trying!!!

That looks and sounds like a "Blake & Jackie" story.
I'm right there with ya !
It's awful to be on a LESSER par than our offspring - - - isn't it!?!
Speaking of being on a LESSER par than your offsprings...now Jim wants a lappy like Keetha's. I try to teach him not to "covet" but he says he doesn't "covet" your's...he wants one for himself!!! Ha!!!
I called Kyle the other nite. Was so good to hear his voice and I am helping him work out the financial arrangements for his new business. He should do really well, and with Kelly's "2 cents" thrown in...he'll be a millionaire in no time!!!
Well - - -considering that his "new business" is house sitting for us when we go on vacation - - - I can just TELL YOU he WILL NOT become a millionaire at THAT!!!
Funny about Jim and the lappy.
Jim - - - GO TO BEST BUY. You may be able to get one for a lot less than you think. ;-) That's how I got mine.
This made me laugh because Steve's dad just bought a new computer and he calls us almost daily about how to use it....I have to admitt we do get frustrated at times but try to be paitent because we are proud of him for trying to be up with the times.....
Well, as you know I'm not QUITE that much of a novice - - - - but I guess enough of one to cause this reaction in Kyle.
Kyle, how can I delete Keetha's comment from my computer so Jim will not be able to read where to get a new lappy??? Ha!!!
You CANNOT - - - I, being the administrator of this blog AND the writer of that comment COULD delete it - - - - but I shan't.
:-)
You CAN on the other hand delete any comment YOU write on this blog - - - and as the administrator of YOUR OWN BLOG you can delete any you write there - - - - but oh, wait a minute - - - you don't WRITE on your blog!!!! :-)
You and I both, in fact my husband has been telling me to make my blog smaller. LIke I knew how. He was using all of these big words and explainations...finally he said, can you just put 4 or 5 post up at a time. Sure! I said, why didnt you just say that.
!!!1
LOL - - - -
All I want to do is make my picture files smaller. The way Kyle was showing me would take an Act of Congress to accomplish!!! All I want is a nice little button to click - - -
Favorite D-I-L,you are so funny. If I post a blog in July can I be a "hardly ever flies" on your list????
You post and I will list. :-)
BUT - - - if you DO post, you'll have to TELL me and REMIND me of your blog addy 'cause I gave up on you way back when I was still using the desk computer upstairs!!!
Goodness I wish I had some computer savvy person I could call on!
Oh Alter Ego - - - it is far BETTER if the computer savy person IS NOT closely related to you - - - - a total stranger has MUCH more sympathy and patience!!!
Besides alter, how old is your little son??? Well - - - wait about FIVE MINUTES and he will be more computer literate than you. :-) That's just how it works in my experience - - - -
Hahahaha that last picture of Kyle is so funny!
And so typical, no?
another Keetha? How can it be?
LOL Leigh!!! Click on my "Alter Ego" link. She's another Keetha FOR SURE!!!
It still gives me a "start" when she leaves a comment. Hehehehehehehe
