Little Camper in the Woods - - -
For most of the past week, we made this lovely wooded spot in Ouabache State Park our home. Greg's mom and sister came for a short visit to MEET MACKINLEY, see us, MEET MACKINLEY, visit Kelly's new home, MEET MACKINLEY, see Keri, Jason, Korie and Kyle, and MEET MACKINLEY. Since Ouabache is only five minutes from Keri's house, this camp site was a lovely gathering place.
We camped in the nonelectric part of the park. Greg hooked his trolling motor battery up to the camper so we could have lights and use the water pump to have running water. That ONE battery lasted us the entire six nights!!! True, the lights WERE getting pretty dim last night, but hey - - - that was the SIXTH night!!! :-)
Our camper refrigerator AND hot water heater both run on bottled gas. Hey - - - we really ROUGH it, don't we?!?!
Our sleeping quarters.
Our dining room.
Our living room - - -all ready to "sit a spell" around the campfire.
Coffee's on - - - come on over!!!
New pudgie pie iron. This one's not a "Tonka," Tony - - - it's a "Rome."

Well where are the pictures of Keetha??? Looks like you have fun!!!
Hehehehehe - - -Keetha TAKES the pictures!
Looks so tidy, serene and relaxing...
Re: pudgie pie makers. Ours went to "ppm heaven" last year. We accidentally left them in the fire too long and they completely melted! We weren't paying attention and --- poof --- they fell off the handle/rod and melted in the fire. The next day we picked up the globs and tossed them in the trash. We need to get new ones soon!
Kathy - - - that happened to one of ours several years ago. Now I ONLY buy IRON ones. I bet yours were aluminum, weren't they? Gander Mountain right there by Meijer's on Lima road has the Iron ones for $10 each.
The only problem with the iron ones is they will rust - - - so you have to oil them with olive or vegetable oil from time to time.
:-)
Are you guys hard core or what?
Hard Core Pudgie Pie Iron Melters???
Hehehehehehe - - - I guess we are!
Hey - - - when I was buying my irons at Gander Mountain, the lady in front of me was buying a HUGE iron kettle with an iron lid - - - - she was going to cook in it with coals on the lid the way you did last summer!!!! OF COURSE I thought of you right away!!!
Smart woman. There must be some scouts in her family.
Yah, but she was only making BBQ chicken - - - I think YOUR stew sounded better!!!! :-)
I don't know why Kathy melted HER aluminum PPIs, but I was trying to sterilize mine after a raccoon invasion!!! :-)
It's the party tent!
LOL Kari - - - this is actually NEW party tent - - - better than the one we had back in the day!!! I DO wish our vacation would stop falling right on top of Family Camp - - - but since FC moved two weeks earlier, it is now right on top of our vacation - - - that means no us, and no our party tent again this camp. Boooo Hooooo!
