Odds 'N Ends
I realize I am old fashioned, not cool, unhip, and WAY behind the times - - -
But I do not text. (Do have some pretty cool bling on my phone though, don't I?) I just don't see the sense when my voice is so much faster than my texting.
So WHY did I have to receive a wrong number text???? And a VILE, FILTHY, one at that. Somehow those words seemed so much more shocking in print - - - -
And now on to other news. This just in:
Something has invaded my home and taken over my living room. I hope it is alive.
And last but not least: In case you thought YOU were the MOST unphotogenic person on the planet, let me give you this PROOF that you are not.
The lump on the couch arose (I guess it was alive afterall) and took this quite lovely snap of moi.

That last pic is scary! Trick or Treat!!!
I TOLD you.
Something about obscene text msgs seems worse, or more invasive, than an obscene phone call. I don't know why.
That's what I was thinking - - - at least when someone has a WRONG number phone call, they may well save their obscene verbiage until they reach the intended victim. Once the text is sent - - - it's out there.
I hate texting too! My DIL texts me all the time along with one other friend....I've tried to tell them....please! I haven't gotten a wrong number one yet, that's gotta be ugly!
HAHAHAHA!!! Were you sneezing?
No - - - I saw he had the camera and I made a silly face at him, and THAT is what he cought.
Awwww...you guys look like you're havin some fun!!! I'll take your invader anytime.
Kyle, if they make you sleep on the couch...there should be someway we could charge them everytime they enter "your space"...hmmmm, should we consider that with the house & catsitting bill???
hahaha. Good one! ;)
You guys are a hoot!
Hoot! Hoot!
Once you get the hang of it texting is too fun. I am almost 59 and I love it. It's fun. I see why the teenagers love it. I have to have a keyboard phone to do it though. All that holding the keys is to nerve wracking for me. I love your blog and have been visiting for a while. I just don't think I have commented until today. Or at least I can't remember commenting. Imagine me forgetting/haha
Nanatrish, thank you so much for coming to my blog and for commenting!!! I wonder how you found me?
About texting - - - nope, it ain't a gonna happen for me.
Nanatrish, thanks for supporting texting!!! I too found it challenging but FUN. Piper is my great-granddaughter so that tells you how old I am. My grandkids would text message me & 2 hrs later they would get their ans. back... Ha! My next text practice will be while drivin, (in a golf cart, of course)
Her grandkids (my kids) have GIVEN UP (for the most part) trying to text me - - - - they realize it's a lost cause!!! Hehehehehehehehe
Oh, the oldest, orneriest son, still sends me the occasional text just to see my reaction.
I hv to txt GK & C f he s shockd. nvr txt hm b 4.
Hubby will not be shocked - - - he and "Markie" text all the time. He also texts the kids. The only thing that MAY surprise him is that the text came from you.
Hey- - - - does my GTO post remind you of Gregie's old car????
OK, you asked me how I found you. I have absolutely no idea. I look at a bunch of blogs and when I saw yours and it was you were a Hoosier, I had to read on. I have been coming back on a steady basis, but now I am speaking out. I grew up in Indpls and went to Washington High School (I guess it's no longer there). Anyway, I lived on the westside, but most of my family is on the east side. Your MIL sounds cool.I must see if she has a blog too. That picnic looked so fun. We went to our biker bible study group cookout/swimming party. No, I don't ride, but my husband does. My granddaughter and I are getting ready to work on an art project so I will sign off for now. Later, Trish
Grammy, do you SEE this??? Nanatrish wants to know if you have a blog!!!
Nanatrish - - - here's why that is sooooooo funny!!! I helped Grammy start a blog. She posted two or three times, the LAST time being in March of 2007!!!!!!!!! She has so much fun with blogs I thought she'd love having one of her own - - - - but so far, well, you see how it is.
Her blog is called "Sloopy and the DJ" http://rosendj.blogspot.com/ The posts she made were fun and funny - - - if we could only get her to make MORE of them.
Mom -
Grammy said she would text GK to see if he'd be shocked...GK would be Kelly, not Dad. :)
OH - - - silly me - - - I SHOULD have known that, but I thought she was putting dad and me together!!! Hehehehehehehehehehe
You KNOW WHO YOU'RE DEALING with over here.
Not only do I NOT text, I can BARELY communicate in good old fashioned English!!!
Gotta share something strange with ya...it has always seemed so "uncool" having to use an initial before my "real" (second)name; however, I think G. Kelly's and J. Kyle's names are sooo sophisticated and professional sounding and REALLY COOL!!!
Oh dear, Grammy - - - you've caught me off guard and I can't think of your REAL first name to safe my LIFE!!! But I DO like G. Kelly and J. Kyle names A LOT- - - - I wonder why. Hehehehehehehehe
It is Alice and I never use it, just the initial. I did ask mother before she died, why Alice. My grandmother Darter's name was Alice...and she said, "I just thought it sounded better than Rosalyn Alice...you know what...she was right about that!!!
I like the name Alice.
I have an Aunt Alice Mae and a cousin Mary Alice.
My Mother's middle name was Mae...hmmmmm, are we related????
OK folks - - - this is a "cut and paste" from a "grammy" e-mail about Nanatrish's and my conversation about Grammy's blog:
And I quote: "Jim was on the computer and he said "you have an e-mail from Keepie" and I knew it would be easier to e-mail you back than go to your post since I was doing it over his shoulder and he was screaming and kicking and that caused the cats to go wild and the neighbors called the police and they were banging on the door..(the police...not the cats) the phone started ringing and my dinner on the stove was burning....well, at least the part about Jim being on the computer is true and him telling me I had an e-mail from you....
nanatrish...
So glad you have visited my favorite DIL's blog and...yes, she is one good and faithful blogger!!!I'll "fire up old Betsy" again and when I do...will notify you. In the meantime, keep it tuned right here for some good, clean, LOL blogs!!! To communicate is the beginning of understanding!!!!
its good you can laugh at yourself. great trait
